In 2003, Househunters in the sun arrived in the South of France and with
the help of Bidsinfrance, we found Pauline Armstrong her dream apartment in the
sun.
WHAT DO OUR CLIENTS SAY ??
Late November 2005 we visited Perpignan. As
we do everything together as a family, our two boys, Alex 9 and Paul, 7 came
with us. We met Karen in our hotel and spent the day looking at properties that
fitted our specification and budget, apartments in the morning, village houses
in the afternoon. Having Karen to translate our questions and the estate agents
answers was invaluable. The fact that all the estate agents knew Karen was also
helpful.
Through Karen, we made a successful bid, shaving a few thousand off the asking
price on a house in Sorede.
Over the two days we spent with Karen we greatly enjoyed and appreciated her
professionalism, friendliness and pragmatism. She was also was wonderful with
our two boisterous and inquisitive boys and was amazingly patient with them. We
all felt sad when the time came to say goodbye to her.
The help we got from Bids in France continued until we had successfully
completed the deal. We are extremely grateful to Karen, Suzanne and Bids in
France for helping us to turn our fantasy into a reality.
Mark, Ann, Alex and Paul Blake-Knox.
5 March 2006.
The best move we ever made! From first contacting Suzanne and Karen with
the type of property we had in mind, they guided us expertly through the
search, the background of the area, the rental market and finally through
the legal and financial aspects of the sale. We have travelled to our
apartment on numerous occasions since, the weather is great, the food and
wine are fantastic and the people are the nicest you could hope to meet!
what more could you ask for?! We cannot recommend highly enough the service
that Bids in France provide!!
John Beary and Kate Lynch, Limerick
When a service company gets repeat business you can be sure of two things, that
both the service and the product are excellent. When I first met Suzanne and
Karen I was blown away by their friendliness, professionalism and local
knowledge. They showed me properties within my price range and purpose, not
steering me this way or that. Now, with a nearly 50% increase in the value of my
property over two years, I'm entrusting them with the purchase of further
properties. Their job is made easier by the fact that the Languedoc/Roussillon
region of France is one the most picturesque and the only thing scraping the sky
is the Pyrenees."
Howard Hughes, Dublin 2006
Thanks to Karen at Bids in France the dream of owning a holiday home in the
sunny south of France became a reality for us. From the moment we first
contacted her until we closed the deal she was always available to answer
questions and offer advice on all aspects of purchasing in France. She
understood exactly our requirements and over two days we viewed a range of
properties that matched our criteria. We are delighted with our new maison
francaise and rate BidsinFrance as an excellent service.
Susan Challoner, Rita Ging, Bernie Kilkenny - GALWAY, February 2006
Both my Wife and I arrived in Perpignan in late November 2005 on Brisk Bright
Day. Susanne picked us up at our Hotel and showed us 6 properties in our budget
range. Of these 2 properties were exactly what we had in mind. On day two we
revisited these two and by 3pm we had decided on one and made an offer. By 6
o'clock that evening our offer had been excepted and we had signed preliminary
contracts. All arranged very professionally by Susanne. Over the next 2 months
Susanne guided us through the buying process and we finally closed the deal at
the end of January. 9 weeks after our visit.
The whole experience was made unbelievably simple and quick by the
friendliness, practicality and professionalism of both Susanne and Karen.
Thanks again"

WHAT DO THE PAPERS
SAY ??
Sunday Business Post September 2007. Article Title: Living it up in Perpignan

There are many things for which the South of France is famous but,
unfortunately, affordable property is not one of them, with a bolthole on the
Cote d’Azur likely to set you back more than a few pretty pennies.
Move inland and it’s a different story, but for many people the sea is the prime
attraction, so they want to be near it.
This is one, but certainly not the only, reason why Irish buyers are becoming
increasingly attracted to the Languedoc-Roussillon region, which stretches from
Nimes south to the Spanish border in the Pyrenees mountains.

WHO ARE WE??
Bidsinfrance is made up of two sisters from Limerick in Ireland,
Suzanne and Karen O'Reilly. Early 2000, after teaching English in
France for four years and a career in flying for five years,
Suzanne, a fluent French speaker, visited the Rousillon region
and fell in love with it. Determined to make it her home, she
established a business down there helping English-speaking people
to purchase property. From then, the business has gone from
strength to strength and in early 2002, it was time to take on a
partner, her sister, Karen.
Karen, a qualified accountant, who trained in BDO Simpson Xavier
and had been working for Estee Lauder at senior management level
in Australia and Luxembourg for the previous five years, arrived
back to a wet and grey Ireland and jumped at the opportunity to
join forces with Suzanne. Fluent in French also, she recognised
the wonderful potential of the area and with her financial
background, can lend advice on all matters financial.
