Close by (but far enough away to not be a nuisance) is Villefranche train station from where the famous 'Train Jaune' sets off on its' impressive journey through the mountains; more mundane (but useful) trains to Perpignan also leave from here, taking approximately 40 minutes to get to this wonderful capital of French Catalonia. Hundred's of thousands of tourists flock to this area each year, drawn by the wonderful countryside and all the activities on offer - from skiing (40 minutes) in the winter time, to hiking, canyoning, climbing, mountain biking etc in the warmer months. The area is known to receive the most days of sunshine in the whole of France - 320 out of 365 (that's nearly 88% of the time), while at an altitude of only 330m above sea level the climate is temperate and below the snow line. Perpignan and the beaches of the Mediterranean are under 40 minutes drive to the east, while French Pyrennean ski resorts such as Les Angles and Font Romeu are 40 minutes to the west.

As an investment opportunity this property is second to none - the current owners admit that they have not yet exploited the full potential of the business and yet still see a handsome return; it would not take too much additional work to increase this revenue substantially.
